Brightwood PPD Study Guide

Brightwood PPD Study Guide

Postby ankit831 » Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:36 pm

Hello All,
I have just started studying for PPD and my main source is the Brightwood Study Guide book. I wanted to see if anyone has used this book and had success? I also have the Brightwood flashcards for this category, looking forward to the comments/ feedback.

Thanks!

Brightwood is not enough to pass PPD or PDD. It will be a good place to start, but you'll likely need to dive much deeper into topics using MEEB, Heating, Cooling, Lighting, and Sun, Wind, And Light, among others.

I have used Brightwood, Ballast, MEEB, BlackSpectacles, and a whole bunch of other books...I have come out of both PPD and PDD tests feeling as though I studied for a different exam. The lack of guidance is ridiculous and intentional on their part.
Having said that Brightwood is a good start but spending a couple days skimming the MEEB is what made a huge difference because a lot of the diagrams and test references come directly from it.

(Fun fact: NCARB used to have a study guide to help candidates. Now the just throw you into the dark abyss and tell you to swim.)
