PPD or PDD in the Five exam plan

PPD or PDD in the Five exam plan

Postby ghoren » Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:36 pm

I just finished CDS, PPP, and SPD. I will be transitioning to the 5.0 tests.

SO the big question is, should I take PPD first or PDD first? Would love any input on this.

Thanks!

I transitioned to the 5.0 theee months ago and wishing I hadn’t. Just failed PPD for the second time. I have fifteen years of experience—it is such a broad exam that there is NO WAY that this test correspondsbto Design Development. It is super detailed and broad in scope at the same time. The 4.0 exams were more in-depth but at least you knew what to study. Some posts on the NCARB blog suggest taking PDD first. I think I’m going to skip to that one next as they overlap in material a lot.

@Btay thank you for you input, however negative it may be.

Any one with positive feedback? @coach?

I'm positive that these exams aren't easy.
Study for both at the same time and take them a day apart.

@coach Interesting, I may just do this. If there is really that much overlap it makes sense.
