Stair 4.0 - Test Retake

Postby samialj » Sat Jan 13, 2018 10:29 am

Stair width is 48" clear per AoR. This took me about 45 minutes because as I was finishing up I made some adjustments: At the janitor landing and intermediate landing, I added an extra 1'-0" landing (it's not a stair) to allow the handrail to extend 1'-0" past the last tread...is that necessary? Or should I have just jogged the handrail over and down the next set of stairs and ignored the 1'-0" handrail extension? Thanks for the review!

Too make it a little clearer, here is a blow up of the 1'-0" additional landing that I added for the rail. I did the same thing on the intermediate landing.

No. The rail is continuous.
