Ramp

Postby matt » Wed Sep 13, 2017 4:08 am

Hi. This is my first attempt at the ramp since attempting to retake this test. Please comment.

I am noticing that most people are using 5' as their ramp width. Is this so that the path of egress width doesn't reduce in width as per the code? If so, I need to correct

Thank you.

I went with the 5' wide ramp because the 44" was only a minimum and 5' wide required less rails to draw which only takes more time and opens up more chances at screwing something up. But that is personal opinion. I can't speak to the code part but I didn't think that was an issue.

Sometimes, but not in your case. Most people do it for the reason jack states above.

Looks good, but no reason for top landing to extend west past stair/ramp.
