Site Grading 1st jump - Please review

Are the grading lines that sets the pad supposed to be parallel to the element? I noticed Ncarb guideline showed it as orthogonal.

Don't understand the question.

Minimum slope between 106 & 107 not met south of the display.
Lose the berm east of the display. Severely over graded.
Show sketch elements when posting here so we can see how you solved it.
Max slope may be exceeded at the SE corner of the display.

The instructions on adding length a + b was very helpful. Thank you for the feedback. Does the grade line that is surrounding the pad need to be exactly parallel? The water is led directly to the smokestack. I'm assuming that is okay since it was not a rule against it. Again I really appreciate your insight.
