Escalators question - MEEB

Postby ataribeats » Wed Jan 03, 2018 9:06 am

I was going through MEEB and under escalators there's the attached diagrams for calculations.
I'm trying to understand how to get the rise dimensions in order to get the overall length but I have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be appreciated.

Rise is floor-to-floor dimension. :shock:

I understand, but in case that you don't have it, is there a way to calculate it with only the standard angle of 30 degrees given?
I guess I'm just trying to look into something that might not be a problem.

Thanks!

I agree with you ataribeats. I was wondering the same thing. I couldn't figure it out.

Do you have a particular problem to solve? It's impossible to say what the rise is without knowing the run, and vice versa.

Run = (1.732)Rise
Rise = Run/1.732
