Study Plan

Postby wws341234 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 7:15 pm

So i just got out of the test center from my third attempt on PPP, and i just booked my exam for mid January. Starting next week i have 8 weeks to my exam date, and i plan to set my study plan as follows:
- 4 weeks of Amber webinar (if i can find someone to subscribe with)
- 4 weeks of Ballast + MEEB + The Amber Book + Vignette

If i don't get the Amber subscription in time i plan to replace that with another material. I have Ballast in my plan already so Kaplan seems redundant. So i'm looking into the following as backup:
- Architectural Graphic Standards
- ASHRAE Fundamentals Handbook
- Heating, Cooling, Lighting: Sustainable Design Methods for Architects
- Mechanical and Electrical Systems in Buildings

Obviously these books costs alot, so i plan to check out the library first, but if I was to pick up one more into my study, which would be recommended?

I did just the Amber book twice and felt it prepared me. Read Ballast book and took detailed notes. Skimmed MEEB.

I felt I got the most out of the practice tests. I did the Ballast MC and Kaplan q’s multiple times, then reviewed the wrong ones in detail to understand why I got it wrong.

I gave myself 7 weeks and passed on the first go.

Good luck.
