Vignette - First Try

Postby tsmithth » Sat Nov 04, 2017 11:55 am

Just watched coaches video and followed along. Let me know if I missed anything.

One question I had while watching the video was this:
It seems like the spacing from each light fixture to the wall should be 1/2 the required spacing from light fixture to light fixture. For instance:
1. The 2x2 light fixture would be 4' from another 2x2 light fixture, and only 2' from the wall on the short dimensions.
2. The 2x4 light fixture would be 6' from another fixture on the long dimensions, and 3' from the wall on the long dimensions.
3. The 2x4 light fixture would be 4' from another fixture on the short dimensions, and 2' from the wall on the short dimensions.

Please correct me if this logic is incorrect, but it seems like the light levels would be more even following this system.

Thanks Coach!

Well, actually that's true, but the logic is backwards. The lighting diagram shows light spread so you use that for wall distance and double it for spacing.
Same thing, just wanted to straighten out your reasoning.

[color=#800000]Max distance to wall is diagram + 12".

Can't evaluate accents without circles.
AO and conf are underlit.
Maintain 4' min between s & r grilles.

What are the circles for?
Rigid layout not as flexible as prior attempt.

The circles are my 4' radius from the supply grille.

Looking at your solutions - Rigid duct can overlap light and grilles?
