vignette first attempt - testing thurs!

Postby mpc123 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 2:35 pm

hello! first attempt at this. does anyone have any advice on lighting placement -- when to pick 2x2 vs. 2x4 (for speed's sake)? i went with dorf's sketch circle method, but not sure if that's the most efficient. also anyone else super frustrated with this FOUR INCH tolerance making centering impossible!?

thanks!

also -- dorf says perimeter lighting should be 1.5' min - 3.5' max. i found a few of mine close to 1'... is this a big no-no?

thanks.

Practice will improve speed.
Dorf's comments applied to 3.1, NOT 4.0. The program and lighting charts changed significantly.
Incorrect 2x4 light spacing.

thanks sparky. do the perimeter lighting constraints between 2x2 and 2x4 remain the same? i.e. 1' min - 4' max for either fixture type?

No, the 2x4 lights have 2 lighting charts. Both are required for 2x4 lights.

I recommend 12" min (if possible) and lighting diagram +12" max.
