here is my first attempt....
any comments would really be much appreciated....
(same drawing, one with sketch circles one without)

Using circles for anything but accents is a waste of time.
Maintain 4' between s & r grilles.
Extension of northern rigid is unnecessary.
Accents on grid.
Move drafting supplies 2' north.

you are amazing!!

a quick question looking at this again, is it always better to have larger distance between supply and return air grills?
ie. reception supply grills could go 2' west more?

and when you said north rigid not necessary, you meant the portion inside AO right?

You justt need to provide good distribution.

Lights are there.

Yes, the extension to east. You can feed the supply from the n-s branch.

That solution might pass as is, but it's not perfect.
