It's a pass...

Postby ec080178 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 8:53 pm

I got my result of my last exam...and it's a pass. The test covered all the areas with questions that were reasonable.
Very few questions were "wild ones" and most of them were general concepts testing the fundamental principles of the different systems. Vignette was nothing more difficult than the sample vignette.

Study material was:
Kaplan
Ballast
Fundamental of building systems manual .

Many thanks to the community that help me so much during this journey.
Thank you all and good luck

is there a different name for the fundamentals of building systems manual? is it the same as the amber book? I haven't seen this one yet...

Congratulations!

Congrats!!! I'm having to retake this and the last time I took it, mine was way more in the minutia of the concepts. I hope I get more general concepts this time around, but still covering all my bases and will probably over study to be sure!

Sowesta, don't get me wrong, I got some specific questions too, so my advice is to keep studying also the little details. I can tell you that I had 50% general concepts and 50% specific question on systems and parts. So keep studying the details too. i had your same problem...I fail the first attempt....but i kept studying hard and I passed the second attempt...which also complete my ARE exams

Seattle, the book I have used on top of kaplan and ballast (which for me provide just a general approach) is MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction.
