First attempt in about 6 years

Postby matt » Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:12 pm

I took this test many moons ago and I wasn't ready for it. I test Friday and I'm going over Patton quotes in my head to build confidence.

Please have a look at this vignette attempt.

Can rigid duct pass over lighting?

How close do we have to be to 144sf per diffuser?

Does rigid duct have to touch the center of the vertical duct chases?

I have a feeling my accents are underlit based on what I've seen on other vignettes but they are 4' apart so according to the requirements, that should work.

Thanks people.

Yes.

Always round up. 145sf = 2.

No, just penetrate riser.

Light level required is on wall, not for space. Circles should be 2' radius and intersect at wall.

Delete duct through closet and exit shaft to east.
Middle rigid run is ok but unnecessary if you move east run west about 4'.
Lighting not centered in some rooms.
Conf light spacing incorrect.
Maintain 4' min between s&R grilles.
Drafting air distribution should be better.

...and...
Architect's office is over lit. 2x4's get closer to the required lighting level in that room.
Poor separation between supply & return in the file room. Min 4' separation is recommended.
