Second attempt - first post

Postby matt » Mon Apr 02, 2018 9:43 am

Hi. Please comment. Testing wednesday. My first attempt I thought there was a whole second story because the room names are on the first and second layer.

Two items to note:

1. The beam on the south west common wall has been omitted because Thaddeus had said it wan't needed. Looks odd to me but such is AREland.

2. The beam on the east side of the covered roof is not needed?

Thanks all.

I can see I don't need the beam in the Common space west wall. I incorrectly assumed there needed to be a beam above the clearstory windows

This is a one-story building with two roof levels. The layers are merely to separate the upper and lower elements graphically.

ARE or not, a beam there serves no purpose.

2. The beam on the east side of the covered roof is not needed?

On lower level, yes. On upper, no.

Delete both beams on west side of common area.

There is no clerestory at that location.

Coach,

If the clerestory had been located in the south wall of the common area, would I extend a beam on the lower level plan, beyond the west wall of shop 2 to the westernmost wall of the common area?

Just want to ensure I am interpreting this correctly.

Thank you,
