Vignette Attempt

Wondering if I have too many columns --would appreciate feedback!

Hi deg,
For the most part, your solution is fine, although it could certainly be fine-tuned to be more efficient and have fewer beams. With that said, you have a CANTILEVERED beam ("Cantilevers are prohibited.") on your lower framing plan (North side, SHOP 2)...CRITICAL ERROR. You may want to watch the official NCARB vignette video before you take another stab at it.
Essentially, you should have columns at the corners of the lower level perimeter since, presumably, you're going to have beams ending at those locations to carry the joist load.
