ARE 4.0 Vignette Attempt 1

Postby tfa7488 » Thu Mar 30, 2017 8:11 pm

Hey!
I am testing on monday and would really love any feedback on my first vignette attempt. Does everything look alright? Any major/minor errors?

Thanks!

Don't use bearing walls.
Move column from northeast of shop 2 to northwest corner.
Delete lower beam west of shop 2.
Missing beam at lower west of covered entry.

Question 1) Why do you need a beam at the west of the covered entry?

Question 2) If you do need the beam in Question 1, why don't you need it at the SW corner of the common area at level 1; what's the difference?

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the comments! I just want to make sure that i fully understand your comments.
1) Got it
2) Got it
3) Just to clarify, so as a general rule, beams are needed at all intersections of the upper wall and lower roof in order to support the wall above?
