One more Alternate & question

Postby Teri28 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 10:20 am

Sorry for so many questions but I'd like to be prepared in the event that I HAVE to use load bearing walls (although Im not sure how that would happen.) Anyway my question is if a CORNER column comes down from above and you designate a loadbearing wall which BEGINS or ENDS at that same corner, does this sufficiently "provide support for column above." Sorry for my confusion. Thanks.

A loadbearing wall may support a column from the upper roof. You can see it on the NCARB passing example. Lower left corner of the building.
Don't worry about asking too many questions, ask enough to pass the test, anything less is wasting your time. We want people to pass and we understand that the more questions that are asked the more people will pass.
So, ask, ask, ask
