Clerestory window

Hi, does anyone have clear direction for what needs to be done with the clerestory window? There seems to be varied opinions. Testing Tuesday, thanks in advance!

Always place beam under clerestory.

Thanks Coach so if I understand correctly, this is inherently taken care of with the beam that frames the lower roof on the North side of the common area (beam below the clerestory) ?

Depends on how you frame the lower roof.
