so i think i got beam happy. i do not need a beam on the north and east wall of the cafeteria at the lower level.

I got a similar solution for the lower level. Minus the beams that you mentioned in your previous post.

On the upper level, your framing is rotated 90 degrees from the lower level. Not sure if this is an issue or if Upper and Lower framing orientation is required to match.

the joists do not need to be oriented the same direction, they should always be oriented the short span, whatever that may be for the space.
