IL-ALT #2_Attempt 1

Postby JabariG » Sun Jun 03, 2018 2:09 pm

This one definitely took me longer than an hour, but I decided to treat it as a case study for all of the questionable configurations I could think of just to get a passable attempt to throw up on the board. The two items I’m not sure about are below, but please let me know if you see any other errors.
Thanks!

1. Can a clear space overlap a door swing? Even if the door is clear of the furniture when open? (see Copy Room and Copier in front of the door)

- JO door should swing into JO (save yourself the trouble and use 20 vert files)
- NW chair of west T44 is inaccessible

Yes. Though NCARB has stated that the 60" turning circle should not overlap the doorswing.

Thanks-a-bunch Sybrktct!
Does the JO door have to swing into the JO or will it improve the layout? (If I try to attempt this beast again I will definitely use the vert files)

It is sound design logic. Walk around an office and try to find an office door that swings into the hallway...
