4.0 Building Layout - 1st Attempt - Please REVIEW!

Postby bradfordpayne » Sat Feb 03, 2018 3:59 pm

First Attempt at the building layout. I'll post more to review with the additional ARE Coach exams.

What are the issues, and what should I be looking for?

This one took me longer than I expected, what is the time limit for this?

Images are tiny. Windows are not visible.
Double doors are a waste of time. Egress capacity is not in the scope of this vignette.
MP is inaccessible.
Logically EE belongs on the lower level. Why is it so large?
SM looks large.
Verify corridors are 6' clear.

Below are my revisions, is this acceptable to have part of the double height space exposed?

This is large of an image as the website will allow me to post, so let me know if you can tell.

Exposed? You mean at the southeast? It's fine, just don't make recesses with depth more than twice width.

Move CR door to east end.
Swap TS with EM.
Why does EM have a window?
Move LM door east and SO door west.
Why does 2nd floor corridor have windows?

Yes, I am asking if the recess at the southeast corner is acceptable.
Move CR door to east end.
Can I ask why? Is this an adjacency issue?
Hanging Chad, I should make sure these don't exist.

Why does 2nd floor corridor have windows?
Architect in me, should I avoid this, is this a downgrade?
