is it ok if the 5ft turnaround circle overlaps the door swing? i could move things around to avoid that, but i wonder if that is a fatal error? thanks.

While I don't think it's a problem, apparently some do.
You can easily stretch CR by relocating a file cabinet to east of secdesk.
