Int-Layout - Alternate #1

Postby mustgetlicense » Sat Apr 15, 2017 4:03 pm

---Thank you sbyrktct, the alternates are as easy to change in the ncarb software as described, i will attempt all 5 IL alternates---

G'evening ladies and gents, I gave a shot at the alternate #1 below, set my phone timer at 60 minutes and finished with less than a minute to spare (super anxiety inducing just like the exam) Does anyone notice any blatantly obvious mess ups on my part? (pardon the pink storage cabinet, i had selected the ID tool to confirm it was actually storage cabinet & forgot to deselect)

Re: Int-Layout - Alternate #1 (3rd attempt)

Postby mustgetlicense » Tue Apr 18, 2017 7:27 pm

G'evening,

I erased saturday's layout which is the one I posted in this same thread above (i did that in 60 minutes)

I tried to redo alternate 1, attempt #2, but at the 60 minute mark i had major flaws, traffic flow issues. I tried to move furniture, move rooms, rotations for another 90 minutes and got no where good (i gave up, hit start over & went to have a snack)

attached below is attempt #3 after my sandwich, damn thing took 30 minutes. The difference in time between attempt 2 and 3 is frustrating.

Does anyone notice any errors?

Don't know how much you're penalized for the dead corner spaces in CR and JO on the 15th and the CR on the 18th

I may be full of beans but I'm looking for a reference where this is discouraged. Ignore it for now.

In Dorf's Solutions book(2011) on page 128 of the IL chapter see reference in the Design logic comments. Doesn't look like a biggie.
