I like your solution. Much better than mine! Interesting layout of the bookcases in the JO. Had not crossed my mind to try this.

Thank you. But I went and looked at others attempt on alt #3 and saw some people commenting that there should be a 3' clear between the furniture and door swing which my copy room does not fulfill.

Bringing this back up because I am testing tomorrow and would like to know if this is true. So if we have a cabinet outside the CFA of the door which may be less than 3' away from the door swing is wrong?

That's not a problem in CR as no movement is hindered, but the east door at SO looks like a different story.

for the 20' dead end corridors. where do we start measuring the 20ft? from the center of the corridor or from the edge?
