per Dorf's video , it cleary states, the gutter can not run pass chimney.
Dorf mentions, if the distance is super short you can just use one downsprout, but per practice, usually we have two for each gutter, in ase on of them was blocked.

That's nonsense. No reason to interrupt gutter.

This isn't practice, these vignettes are schematics. While ncarb has stated that one downspout per gutter is sufficient, I recommend one at each end for gutters longer than 15'

Please do not get me wrong , Coach. I do not want to challenge you, since I benefit a lot for you. I just kindly share what I know .

See the attached screen shot of the video about the gutter at the chiminey and the two downspouts at the 14' gutter.

Did I mumble?

FYI, Norm died 11 years ago. Things have changed.

I also double checked the NCARB passing solution :

1. NCARB did not cut the gutter at the chimney
2. NCARB put only one downspout at the east short gutter
3 NCARB did not put the 3rd downspouts at the long west gutter.

I will test on 6/30. Here is what I am going to do : no stop at the chimney, and put only two downspouts at each gutter.
