Roof Vignette -testing on saturday

Postby Steffa » Sun Jun 24, 2018 8:06 pm

Hi All,

Please review and comment on both solutions. Any comment will be much appreciated.

Question on solution 1B -
1) if the gutters meet at 1 corner should i show that the gutters connect and should i just provide 1 downspout or just keep them separate as shown?
2) for the upper roof, is it acceptable to show this as shed and have the highest level with the clerestory excessively high? is there any other issue other than not being efficient? will this be acceptable?
3) is it ok to provide only 1 downspout if the length is relatively short?

Thanks!!!

The way you did it is correct.

2) for the upper roof, is it acceptable to show this as shed and have the highest level with the clerestory excessively high? is there any other issue other than not being efficient? will this be acceptable?

I don't recommend sheds or hips. Simple gables are best.

Yes.

Draw roof planes over chimney.
No reason to interrupt gutter at chimney.
