NCARB Roof Vignette

Postby kajmera » Wed Mar 28, 2018 8:34 pm

My first attempt at the roof vignette. I did 14' + 2' for clerestory + 1'6" for roof and structure = 17'6" for the low end of upper roof. I have a few questions:

- I placed the flashing on outer face of wall. Is that correct?
- The program says flashing must be provided at roof/wall surface intersections - does that I mean I need to add flashing for all exterior walls since they will come up to the roof? or is it only where the walls go up past the roof?
- Is the HVAC unit ok where I've placed it?
- I have 5 downspouts - 2 along the west edge and 3 along the east edge. Do I need to add one more downspout on the northeast end of lower roof?
- Does it matter where you place the clerestory window in the wall? I have it on center of the wall.

Any other feedback will be very helpful! Thank you! :)

No.

Yes.

Yes.

What about upper west?

Do I need to add one more downspout on the northeast end of lower roof?

No, but confirm upper and lower gutters are drawn independently.

That's correct. Place in wall and entirely withing programmed room.

What about upper west? Yes, I had 2 along the west edge of upper roof. Forgot to mention those.

No, but confirm upper and lower gutters are drawn independently. Yes, got it.
