Vignettes - Please Review!

Postby kek123 » Sun Feb 11, 2018 12:04 pm

Any comments are helpful!
Couple questions on the roof vignette:

Is there anything magical about how far you pull the point of the cricket at the roof?
Do the downspouts get placed inside the gutter our outside the gutter end?
Is there a limit for the highest point on the roofs?

Thanks all!

Eyeball a 45-degree angle.

In the gutter.

Is there a limit for the highest point on the roofs?

Just do what's necessary.

Ramp
Egress narrows at base of stair.
Hold rails 2" off walls and edges.
Rails at top landing reduce egress width. Bend around corners.

Roof
Too much flashing.
Move toilet room pvent closer to middle of fixture cluster.
Why is there a gutter on east end of lower roof?

Stair
I strongly recommend always using cut stairs.
What is overall stair width?
Hold rails 2" off walls and edges.

Coach,

Stair is 60" wide.
Thanks for all the other comments - will keep practicing with those in mind.

Thank you for your help! Really appreciate it.

Coach,

Thanks for that - I was playing it safe with 60" since it didn't say exactly what the handrail diameter is. Is this a big error if I had 60"?

Thank you!

Big? Probably not, but with stair width taking having 3 parameters in the code, I believe that showing you understand how to apply them is really important.
