Stair Vignette, Please see alternate to NCARBs standard.

Everyone should get coach's videos, they are worth it. (not a paid endorsement) They really helped me on structural and lighting.

I was able to do the standard NCARB stair plan quickly after watching the tutorial. I made a change to NCARBs exit location., I moved the exit from the NE room corner, to the SE corner. (I used sketch lines to represent the new exit)

My biggest concern is the landing structure (12" thick structure) above new exit, landing height is 9'-0" door height 8'-0".
Can the bottom of landing and top of door align?

All stair widths are 56"
top landing has 30"x48" A.O.R. and 24" pull,
handrails extend 12"

I started on the 2nd floor, so from 2nd floor down... all risers hts between 4"-7"
1st stair run is 6 risers, 5 treads
2nd stair run is 14 risers, 13 treads
3rd stair run is 3 risers, 2 treads.

I recommend adding at least 2" to allow for casing.

Thanks coach.

One more question about vignettes we have 2hours 45minutes to complete all 3, I can spend 15 minutes on ramp? 30 minutes stair & 2 hours on roof? I’m not forced like previous exams for specific time allotments?

You can use the time as you like.
