Roof Problem

Anybody know how to put a roof on this?

Gables with ridges running east-west.

I would think that you would have to have a roof break on the lower level to keep all of the eaves at the same height, no? The whole lower level cant be a gable with just one ridge because the flank eaves protrude wider than the centered roof.

Nothing in the program indicates that eaves must be consistent throughout either level.

Thanks for your reply. If this is the case, then we would have to have a breakline at the corners, correct? So then we would have to draw four roofs for the lower level in the NCARB software?

then that would make the gable eaves in the east really tall and the eaves on the north and south flanks really low? I think i am seeing what you mean now. Thos would just create a really tall wall on that east portion of the building, almost like a 1-1/2 story structure. Odd. Thamks again for grinding this out with me

The lower ridge is only about 14-8, which is what the gable end is in the typical 4.0 practice solution.
