3.1 Vignettes ( all 3) Comments Appreciated

Postby CACASEY » Thu Apr 13, 2017 9:09 pm

My attempt at the 3.1 vignettes along with a few questions are below. All comments appreciated.

3.1 Ramp.jpg

Is it correct to assume the 5' - 0" turning clearance is required on the landings between handrail?

3.1 Roof.jpg

Is flashing required at the high roof where the chimney is since it is in the direction of the slope (wouldn't trap water, and no need to redirect)?

When a circle is required, yes.

Required regardless of slope.

Ramp
Lose the gaps.
Door looks small.
Hold rails 2" off walls and edges.

Stair
Why is top landing so large?

Thanks Coach. For the stair, I mistakenly thought the 440 occupant load applied for the second floor, so I sized the landing for three areas of refuge.
