All three vignettes -- please review/respond

Postby PaddockHills » Sun Mar 26, 2017 11:56 am

I did all three vignettes at once to simulate test day and had plenty of time left over. However, I got an error message when I tried to exit the roof vignette saying one of my roof planes was out of whack. It said "Roof plane(s) overlap or are out-of-bounds." I rearranged EVERYTHING and could not find the problem. That really scared me because if that happens on the test, I'll fail automatically. What to do?

Looks like your're drawing planes over gutters.

Possible.

What to do?

Zoom in.

Ramp
Egress narrows at base of stair.
Hold rails 2" off walls and edges.

Stair
Stair is too narrow.
Top landing is too small.
Janitor landing is too small.
Hold rails 2" off walls and edges.

Roof
Missing flashing.
North upper and lower gutters should be drawn independently and not share downspouts.

Coach,
Thanks for your comments. I have some questions.
Ramp
how does the egress narrow at the bottom of the stairs? There is 5' and the stair is 5' wide. Is it because the handrail protrudes into the landing area? Should I have it return 12"?
Stair
Landings too small? Is the top landing too small because the door swings into it? I made the janitor landing out of two landings to make an L shape. What should I have done?
Thank you.

Distance from end of west rail to north wall is less than stair width.

Stair

AOR and CFA must be clear.

Is it 48x48 min?

Is the CFA the correct size and properly located?
Is the CFA clear of the AOR and rails at southwest?
Is the AOR clear?
