NCARB 4.0 SD Again & Again...

Postby fare75 » Tue May 08, 2018 5:41 am

Took 1.5 week off from studying...so I am trying the NCARB 4.0 SD again.
I will work on the program texts to get myself familiar with the NCARB language later today.

2 weeks to go for my retake which I failed Site Design last time...

This my last practice...never did this configuration before.
Suggestion:
Practice double loaded and semi-double loaded parking layout. Ideally they shall be perpendicular to the building required close to the H/C parking.

In the real test due to all program requirements ... I only managed to get all except 1 H/C parking within the circle...at least 50% of the last spot is within the circle
I hope it's a passing solution too

working on the same right now... your office building doesn't look like its "no more than 125' from the pond" in any of your examples.

do you need a connection to the public walk on academy street? or is it sufficient to only have a path from Bentley ave?

Only one coonection is sufficient. Two connections mean more paved area...not favourable to NCARB

Over 50% of OT is within the range is OK.

Passed SPD finally. Second time Site Design was a charm.

I had one of my Building pad within 5ft from the driveway to make one of the H/C spot at least 50% within the circle from the main entrace (the building in blue color is still away from the driveway by 5ft)...not sure if it's a program violation so I was really panic after the exam for a week

Next: SD retake (I suck at vignette...will get the Coach's Playbook this time! )
