Site Design Vignette - Review Please

Good Evening,

Another variation while I practice for my exam this Saturday. Thanks again for all your help everyone.

One more thing. I have downloaded the ALT Vignettes. Any suggestion on which one I should focus my attention on or better prepares for the exam? I don't have much time left to practice all of them.

I think you have a dead end at the service entrance of the restaurant and how are you protecting the plaza from the winds?

Not an issue. It's not parking.

and how are you protecting the plaza from the winds?

Upwind conifers. I would probably add a couple more north of the restaurant.

Is the service entrance sufficiently blocked from view? The service road is visible from the plaza, but the service entrance doors are not.

So the trees not need to be closer to the plaza? Doesn’t make sense since they are way far. Just asking

You risk blocking the view of the pond from the restaurant if you place them close to the plaza since conifers are best used to block wind and views. It's really about developing the best possible solution by balancing all the program requirements. See the excerpt from Ballast on the image below as it will answer your question.
