Site Design Alt 4 - wacky parking, please review

Postby changes627 » Sat Mar 10, 2018 6:56 pm

hello people of the forum,

gave myself 1 hours to do the Site Design Alt 4 vignette... and clearly in my attempt to save some trees I started to move parking spots to save trees... it probably isn't a good idea in real life to do this, but the trees aren't marked as murdered... soooooo.. I'm guessing its okay?

(Im sure with more time i would have came up with a better solution, because this is kinda embarrassing... but in my attempts to try to simulate the time restraint and committing to what I started in the vignette... this is what i did.)

also some questions:
1) are the service drives acceptable? (... ignore the trees by the drop offs....)
2) speaking of trees... will you get down graded if you add a few extra trees to block the wind from the plaza?... are my tree plantings sufficient?
3) walkways... do the go directly to the building entrance or just the box in front of the building... i don't want them to be in violation of the "5' set bldg set back".
4) are we suppose to plant tree in the plaza for shading?

Testing soon, ANY comments would be really appreciated!!!!!

10. Provide only one 24 ft wide curb cut located no closer than 120 ft from the intersection of the centerlines of the two existing public streets.

11. Draw vehicular circulation to access the parking and the two Drop off Entrances.

horrible and NOT practical, yes... but passing?

...again, I will AVOID doing this during the exam - its just a trick i wanted to keep in my back pocket if i absolutely have to save a tree to avoid failing.

I was referring to the fact that you think saving the trees was a bad thing.
