Site Planning Vignette - Testing Monday 1/9

Postby knaveboy » Sat Jan 06, 2018 2:24 pm

Hello,

I thought I'd uploaded my solution to the NCARB's ARE 4.0 SPD Site Design Vignette last week but apparently that didn't work. I'm testing in < 48 hours and would appreciate any feedback.

Neither the PP or walkway to the restaurant are pretty...but I didn't see that requirement in the program.

Thanks!

I'm no expert on this, but it says in the program keep the restaurant close to the office tower. I have heard that for the exam "close" means within 10-20% of the site width. They may be too far apart.

That's not what the current program says.

You're right! (of course) I was looking at a 2012 version of the Guide that was floating around our office. I'll have to be careful and see what else has changed.

Minimum of 210' between office tower and restaurant.

Hi All
Can anyone comment on whether the office entry as located as it is here is a markdown due to visibility from Bentley? Maybe not critical?
thanks

Why would that be any kind of error?

PP overlaps tower entrance.
some of your trees are blocking view of pond from restaurant.

that seems like one hell of a long sidewalk from OT to R. Would they mark down for that for not minimizing paving?
