I took the test September 25th and found out October 3rd, which was a lot earlier than I thought.
My study method:
- Read Ballast (Chapters 2, 5, 30, 35 and the lighting section in Chaper 32), made flashcards
- Skimmed Kaplan as a supplement
- Took all the practice exams Kaplan and Ballast had to offer
- Archiflash flashcards
- Jenny + Caroline’s Notes
- Read about Building Commissioning (https://www.wbdg.org/building-commissioning) and SWPP (https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/fi ... _guide.pdf). Didn’t get a lot of related questions for my test, but I’m still glad I read it for general concepts.
I studied during my lunch hour 3x a week and most of the weekends for about a month/month and a half. Vignettes weren’t too unexpected (I started practicing a week before the test, 2-3x a day), but I highly recommend practicing the alternate program (http://arehelp.webs.com/spd) so you don’t get too used to the parameters of the original practice vignette, and of course looking at everyone else's solutions here.
I passed CDs and PPP already, so I’m gonna chill for a bit and then start the transition! Thanks to ARE Coach, it’s been super helpful!
