Can anyone explain what/where/how to find the answer?

NCARB 3.1 Multiple Choice, #17 ( see attachment for complete question)

What would be the minimum required width of a bypassing sliding
glass door, 6'8" high [2 030 mm] located at Y on plan B, if required
ventilation is 5 percent of floor area, and living room/dining area is
313 sq. ft. [29 m2]?

ANSWER: 5 FT.

This is a pretty straightforward math problem with a twist, because bypassing sliding doors are twice the size of the leaf.

1. take floor area (313 sf)
2. multiply by .05 to determine how much area is required (15 sf)
3. divide required area by height (15/6.67)
The result is 2.34'. Double this to determine the opening size for a bypassing sliding door. Round to the nearest opening size offered in the MC (5 feet).

Please let me know if I can further clarify.
