Site Design Vignette Question

Postby laurenrdunn » Thu Dec 14, 2017 12:42 pm

The language in the program states "Locate the Restaurant and the Office Tower shall be at least 210 feet apart." This sounds like a slight typo. Does it just mean the two buildings have to be min. 210 feet apart? Seems like alot, especially considering the buildings are very close together in the NCARB exam guide practice vignette passing solution.

It means exactly what it says. Min 210' between the buildings.

I guess I had the same question. I'm confused because the second page of the program states "Buildings must be separated by a minimum of 20ft". Not sure how to interprit this. Please help.
Thanks!

NCARB updated the program in 2013. The 20' requirement was in the old program. They were too lazy/sloppy to remove the 20' requirement. If you meet 210, you meet 20.
