Postby Anob » Wed May 10, 2017 1:01 pm

Where is to best place to store explosive material in a building with 10 stories?

A) 1st Floor
B) 5th Floor
C) 10th Floor
D) 8th Floor

My guess is the 10th floor. Does anyone agree? If you disagree please state why.

What a terrible question. I would think that it would be a horrible idea to store them in any multistory building. Where did you find this question?? Even though it's more of a structures question, I doubt anybody would be able to answer there either.

Actually had a question very similar to this on the PPP exam and if you used the ballast QA booklet there is a question related to blast resistant design.

I don't doubt that. It's still a bad question.

Which reference are you talking about by ballast and what number is the question?

I agree this is a bad question. The question related to blast resistant design was actually in the ballast SPD question book.

The question ask:
In regard to blast security, the space between a building and the outermost secured perimeter is called the
A. blast reduction zone
B. perimeter defense area
C. security setback
D. standoff distance

Answer: standoff distance
