Alternate Vignette

Postby t-money » Fri Oct 04, 2013 8:41 pm

Hello All-

This is my first attempt at solving the alternate vignette. I drew this solution at section B-B, and I assumed the benchmark elevation = 105'.

It gets a little confusing towards the east side of the site where the contours run perpendicular to the high water line. I only mention this because the program provides an elevation for the high water line of 105' and then intersects the other contours of varying heights on the east side of Lot B, which doesn't make any sense, so I just assumed that the high water line over in lot was a non-factor when calculating the grade.

Otherwise, the program is identical to the standard one from NCARB.

Cheers!

Looks good, t-money. I had the same qustion about how to deal with the contours at section B-B when I was doing it. It's always hard to tell at this low resolution, but I think we came to the same conclusion. Good luck on PPP!
