End of an era?

I launched this forum 6 years ago today. In that time, we've had over 16,000 members making nearly 169,000 posts! I can't say that I've read all of those posts, but damned near.
It's been a passion I guess. A bit of a diversion, a hobby of sorts, but mostly, I enjoy helping where I can... and as some of you have experienced, there have been times to dish out a bit of tough love too.
Behind the scenes, I've dealt with a few folks who needed to be shown the door -- that's never fun, uh, well, sometimes it is . I'm constantly keeping spammers and hackers at bay -- that's why a few of you have had trouble logging in overseas. I edit or delete posts that divulge test content or infringe on copyright -- I'm proud to say that I have never been contacted by ncarb or a state board, nor have I received any DMCAs. (preemptive tough love: Right click, "open link in new tab" )
So, what's this end of an era business? Well, this forum isn't going anywhere. It'll probably be online as long as I am. The era that's ending is the vignettes of course. I've noticed that activity here has slowed as we get closer to the 4.0 sunset, but I firmly believe that this forum can still be a valuable resource for candidates. I know some feel that ncarb's google group is the place to go, and I'd agree if I liked disorganization, deletion of sentiments that don't follow the party line, and generally a crappy format. Forums are the way to go.
So, without vignettes, things won't be as fun for me personally, but ARECoach.com will still be here.
I must thank a couple of guys who have been a big help. Sparky83 is everywhere but his presence in PPP & SPD is truly appreciated. If you don't know, I never took the digital vignettes for those divisions so I didn't always feel comfortable commenting on them. He's also been a reliable force for the BS vignette, which was good for me because reviewing them makes my eyes go buggy. The other person is sbyrktct -- He doesn't know this, but I've sort of counted on him to review IL... frankly, IL bores me.
Honestly, I have to thank all who have participated. It's been great fun.
And it's not done!
Best of luck to those who are scrambling in 4.0 and everyone in 5.oh.
