NCARB renewal fee

NCARB renewal fee

Postby karc » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:12 am

I just got email from NCARB again for record renewal fee, but this time I already got my license certificate, I am kind wondering if I still have to keep my NCARB record active?

As my understanding so far, keeping NCARB record is required if you plan to get license for other states; otherwise, is there any major reason to keeping paying NCARB every year for the record?

Thank you.

That is a very good question that made me curious. I was looking at http://www.ncarb.org/Certification-and-Reciprocity/Value-of-an-NCARB-Certificate.aspx to and the main benefit to keeping an active NCARB certificate value is for reciprocity if you need to move to or work in another state. I was also looking at the pdf at http://www.ncarb.org/Certification-and-Reciprocity/Certification-Overview/~/media/Files/PDF/Guidelines/Cert_Guidelines.ashx and page 6 indicates that "You must maintain an active record to maintain an active NCARB certificate". I think if you lapse then you end up having to cover back fees or $1,500.

How much is the renewal fee once you have the NCARB certificate?
