Does anyone know how/if the New York Rolling Clock differs from NCARB's Rolling Clock? On the NCARB site under New York it states: "New York has its own five-year credit retention period" I can not find any further info here on the state's site:
http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/arch/archlic.htm

Thanks in advance

I think it has something to do with the Form 1. If the form 1 is more then 5 years old then you have to resubmit a new form and a new fee. Normally you first fill the form out when you apply to test, and if you are ready to be reviewed for your license within 5 years you do not need to pay another fee or refill form 1. But I'm not 100% sure I am right, this is just off of what I experienced.

I think I had the same doubt, but I asked NYS---

see what i sent to them::

I also want to know if any specific timing for NYS to keep my application open.

I believe my NCARB rolling clock is until 2020, but not sure if NYS has a specific time until the application is closed and would have to be re-opened..could I please get more information on the matter?

answer from NYS below:

There is no expiration of your file. Your records will stay on file indefinitely.

worth calling them up if you have a special situation or to better clarify...
