Scheduling Exams

Scheduling Exams

Curious as to how other test takers schedule exams around work deadlines. So far I've been successful--or maybe just lucky-- in *avoiding* direct conflicts with expectations at work (ie putting in overtime to meet deadlines) and my scheduled test dates, but this is starting to become more of an issue for me. Do folks reschedule when things feel tight, or just suck it up? Or maybe there's a different strategy--waiting to schedule the exam until you have secured an open window of time, as it were. My boss knows I'm studying nonstop outside of work but that doesn't mean there's much flexibility in my schedule.

Forgive the 'soft' nature of this question...

I start studying for a couple weeks and let the content sink in. then I schedule an exam with 4 weeks to go. Then the pressure is on due to a set deadline.
Then the week before the test i start cramming big time.
