Approval from jurisdiction

Approval from jurisdiction

On average (I know each state is probably different) how long did it take for you to receive approval from your jurisdiction to begin taking the ARE? I finished IDP and submitted my payment on the last day of September and still have not heard anything. I am hoping to take my first exam in November but I am concerned I won't be able to if my approval takes much longer...

It's only been 2 weeks. Give it a month and call your board if you haven't heard.

I delivered materials to my board September 9th (AZ). I received a letter last week saying that they will review my application at the monthly meeting on October 23rd. Then they will decide and send me a letter of approval (I was previously approved, but then didn't do anything for 5 years and had to start over and reapply). Each board functions differently but I assume its typical to take up to 6 weeks.

Thanks for all the information...I figured out I needed to submit a separate application with my jurisdiction. No big deal...at least I found out sooner than later!
