Oh man, I'm so glad I randomly found this site! I started studying for my 3rd ARE and first since the blackout, only to find that AREForum's been down for weeks (possibly for good this time?). So I appreciate having an AREForum 2.0 to help me out. I'm definitely telling my fellow architecture friends about this! :)

This thread started on May 23, 2012. Has the ARE Forum been down that long?

I started taking my tests in 2009 with the BCDS test. I took four tests in about 6 months, got a 5th done at the end of 2011, and am now racing to finish Structures and Building Systems before my BDCS results expire in November. I tend to overstudy, and never schedule a test until I am comfortable with taking it (no one ever recommends that, but that's my style and it works for me). I was quite overwhelmed with my study materials for Structures, and went into full-on panic mode that I wasn't going to be comfortable with it, and don't have time to retest if I fail my first attempt. Then I got the Thaddeus seminar and the introduction succeeded in talking me off the ledge (so to speak). I'm now fairly confident that I can pass it in my first attempt with some further study, and have a better idea where to focus my efforts. I'm not overly concerned about Building Systems, I think I can manage that one in one attempt too.

It's been a while since I was on the ARE forum, it would have been 2011. According to Lastpass, my username on the ARE Forum was "Echo Zoe", but I wasn't on there a lot other than to solicit feedback on vignettes, so I doubt anyone remembers me.

Huge thanks to Coach for starting and running this forum. I was a little panicked with I saw that I couldn't get into the ARE Forum, and after a few weeks nothing was changing. A former coworker shared some resources with me on Facebook, and that's how I found this place.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum, as well as my new job. One of my co-workers suggested I join. I put off doing this for six years. Yep, I regret that. Oh well, better late then never.
