Are hangable wall certificates still a thing?

Are hangable wall certificates still a thing?

Postby archspri » Thu Dec 11, 2014 1:50 pm

FINALLY got my license, woohoo!! But it seems NCARB no longer issues Wall Certificates (since 2008), but do state licensing boards have wall certificates that they issue?

I received my certification for the year, but I figured they'd send some sort of formal certificate that I can show off proudly.

Like this one (but for Louisiana)

If you're proud of your accomplishment (and it is a very important accomplishment) then by all means display it.

I wouldn't worry or care about what others thought. If someone's got a problem with it, screw em...

Illinos doesn't, kinda hoped they did. They send you a 5x7 License Cert that looks like every other business license. I've seen some from other states that look a lot better than my degree certificate.

NY does and I am glad they do. The partner of the my former firm paid for me to get it professionally framed. It now hangs in my office.

Update:

I received a fancy formal cert from AIA, and am expecting one from my state licensing board as well. I'll frame them both and hang them next to my diploma!

MA won't issue a wall certificate until you pay an extra $27.
