Does anyone know what a unit in place estimate is and what phase it would be used in??

I took it as unit per assembly which is in DD

THANK YOU, CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS, so this is done at CD or bidding phase right?

I'd think it's during CD. Wouldn't the "cost estimate" during bid phase be the bid itself from the contractor?
