Should I try to memorize the building & ADA codes?

Should I try to memorize the building & ADA codes?

Postby Anob » Sun Mar 10, 2019 9:41 am

After taking the PPD and PDD right after another I noticed very specific code questions. I had multiple questions where the specific
code section was (intentionally) removed from the reference. I've also noticed for PPD pass summaries that mentioned spending much time on the codes.

Is it worth it spending valuable time trying to memorize the codes?

Am I wrong to think that doesn't make sense that they should remove pertinent reference material? doesn't that defeat the purpose of having reference material to begin with ? I too am having trouble with code related questions I want to read through the code several times to get a good feel of the order and context of how the code works especially construction types use groups fire separations building heights/sf  mixed use occupancy
