PPD Second Fail - PPD & PDD Exams Remaining

PPD Second Fail - PPD & PDD Exams Remaining

Postby silvadl » Tue Jun 26, 2018 8:39 pm

Hi Everyone,

Having failed PPD twice, I registered for PDD at the end of July. I can't help but feel its best to schedule PPD close to this exam because of overlapping material, but I also don't want to be locked out from taking PPD until March 2019. I only have these (2) exams remaining. Is it worth rescheduling PPD (1) week from PDD? Or am I better off taking a month in between? (I have travel plans for August, I travel a lot for work). In an ideal world I would knock these out before my trip and take the CSE after I return, but any advice is appreciated!

Thank you!

Try scheduling the exams until you feel 80% comfortable with the material then give yourself 2 weeks for review. I get the feeling from multiple articles that these 2 exams need more than the typical 8 weeks.

Thanks for the advice!

I usually take 8-10 weeks to prepare but anything longer, I forget material. I feel prepared for PPD more than PDD because I am familiar with the material. I'll likely reschedule if I'm not comfortable to take PDD.
